Worship is the foundation upon which we build our faith and our commitment to serve. At Christ the King, we offer a variety of worship styles. Although different in approach, each attempts to help you deepen your faith and relationship with Jesus Christ. Worship here is casual, yet meaningful, refreshing, and empowering. The sacrament of communion is celebrated at all services, bringing cleansing, forgiveness, and the promise of salvation.
Liturgical Worship – Sunday morning, monthly, both locations
Liturgy helps us connect with our church heritage, yet we use contemporary music and prayers.
Healing Services – Sunday morning, monthly, both locations
During healing services, you can receive special prayers for situations in either your own life, or that of your friends and family, where healing is needed. It can be physical, emotional, or spiritual healing. We believe God is present and merciful and responds to prayer in powerful ways.
Contemporary Worship – Sunday morning, monthly and Wednesday night, weekly – Combined Locks location
Contemporary worship is led by a Praise & Worship Band and is focused on music and praise.
Gospel Worship – Sunday morning, monthly – Sherwood Location
This is a service with a traditional, gospel music focus.
Campfire Worship – Tuesday summer evenings- Sherwood
This is an outdoor, campfire style worship. While very laid back, it still connects us with the Word and sacrament.
Special Events
We also offer special services throughout the year to enhance the experience of worship. Some of these include services with guest musicians that share a music and faith story, Christmas Eve worship in a barn, an outdoor Blessing of Pets service, and clown ministry services.
