Rev. Tim Krick, Associate Pastor

pastor_tim.jpgPastor Tim grew up outside of Chicago, in the western suburb of Wheaton in Illinois.  Before becoming a pastor, he spent 2 years teaching 5th grade and 3 years teaching 7th grace Science while also coaching boys and girls volleyball and basketball.  During this time, Tim attended a retreat at his home church of Good Shepherd in Naperville, IL called "Christ Renews His Parish" that he started feeling called to seminary.  After many conversations with a variety of people, most importantly his wife Vicky, they decided to sell their house and move to Dubuque, IA so that Tim could attend Wartburg Theological Seminary. Tim graduated from Wartburg in May of 2009 and accepted a call to Associate Pastor at Christ the King in June of that same year.

A passion of Pastor Tim's is to help connect our faith with our everyday lives.  He believes there is not a sacred and secular aspect to our lives but that all of creation belongs to God and all deserves to be treated as sacred.  God is working in every facet of our life, we only need to know to look.

Pastor Tim is married to Vicky and they have 3 children, Sam, Olivia and Micah.  Tim bleeds "Cubby Blue" and is an avid Bears fan as well!  Hobbies include running and spending time with his family.  His undergraduate degree is from Luther College in Decorah, IA.  He also has a Master's in Teaching from National-Louis University.
