Service

Serving others is part of our community DNA at Christ the King. There are lots of opportunities both inside and outside our walls to use your gifts to bring God's love to life!

Bring God's love to life through: serving outside our walls
  • King's Tools- our group of handy-folk of the congregation who have skills of all kinds. When people (church members or non-members) are in need of repairs or small projects, members of King's Tools show up to get the job done.
  • King's Quilters gather inside our walls to serve the outside world. Together they work on sewing and tying quilts that are sent to local hospitals and nursing homes. Since this ministry launched, they have sent over 5,400 quilts to local organizations! Kings Quilter's gather on the 3rd Saturday of every month, 9:00am-12:00pm. No sewing experience is needed!
  • Knit-Wits are another group who gather inside our walls to serve the outside world. Together they knit or crochet prayer shawls and lap blankets to be sent to local hospitals and those who are experiencing a rough patch in life. The knit-wits gather on the 3rd Monday of every month at 8:30am
  • Res-a-wreck- is a car ministry that provides low or no-cost auto repair to neighbors in need. Gathering monthly, this skilled group of volunteers provides assistance with transmission flushes, oil and filter changes, tire rotation, and other repairs. Additionally, they work to gather and fix cars that are then placed with local families in need.
  • Pillars warming shelter- Several times throughout the year members of Christ the King go to Pillars Adult and Family shelter to prepare and serve a meal. Needs for donations and calls for volunteers to serve are shared regularly in our church bulletin on Sundays.
  • Prison Ministry- 2-3 times per year members of Christ the King lead worship at Oshkosh Correctional institute. Together we share in worship and community with inmates who reside at the prison.
