Covid Mitigation

Being community during a pandemic comes with challenges and joys. At Christ the King, we take the call to love our neighbors very seriously, and have committed to practicing the safest practices to keep both our community and the greater community safe.

CURrent Covid Mitigation Practices
As of December 1st, 2021

Our practices are determined by a re-entry team made up of a cross-section of our community, including those who have dealt with the pandemic directly including health professionals and teachers. This team focuses not just on the congregation's safety, but on slowing the spread within our greater community as well.

Practices are based on CDC and Wisconsin Council of Churches guidelines, and the COVID-19 Burden Rate in the Fox Valley area (# of active positive cases per 100,000 people), which is a statistic that helps us understand how prevalent the spread of COVID-19 is in the area we serve.

Christ the King is currently living according to the following community practices for indoor activities:

  • Masks are required for all attendees ages 2 and up. This allows us to keep safe the most vulnerable among us who are not yet vaccinated or immune compromised

  • Registration is required for contact tracing purposes. Pre-registration via this online form is encouraged

  • Social distancing is practiced whenever possible

Additionally in worship, you can expect:

  • Limited singing with masked, distanced song leaders throughout the worship service

  • Self-serve communion available to take at your seat during the service, or to take home with you afterwards

  • Shortened service time of 45 minutes
