We step up when things are needed: For the church .... For families within these walls and outside of these walls

For the building .... The community ....Our employees

It’s not about a number on a spreadsheet

For three years I have been a part of your council and each year we have worked very hard to get where the church is, a little stable. Numbers never speak to the whole picture. They change daily and we still have times when bills are going to be due and we rely on what is supposed to be given. We have worked hard to eliminate/skim the budget to what is good for the church, for YOU, and to keep running and doing God’s work, spreading the Love and Grace of Jesus. Positions have not been filled and a position was even combined.

I’m so thankful for my time on council. It has taught me so much. While I only did one 3 year term. I will take with me so many things. It was truly educating. I will continue to serve and I’m ready to take the knowledge learned and continue to serve in ways that are good for CtK, the partners and those outside these walls. Love like Jesus. Remembering our generosity looks different to each of us and it’s not all about the money. We can give the best of ourselves daily. We can step up and serve in ways we are comfortable and also serve in ways that may challenge us.

CtK is such a wonderful church community. We have so much excitement and love to share. Let’s remember this and remember that not everything shows up on the spreadsheet and when we are asked to step up. We always provide and that is not always reflected by a number.
