Generations of Stories

As we slip from our time of gratitude into our time of waiting and preparing, memories our moms, grandmoms and special women seem to be everywhere. Their fingerprints are in the special recipes and old cookie cutters we use. They are in the little traditions we continue each year with our grandchildren and on pictures of Christmas’ past. Most of all, they are in the stories of their lives i.e. their struggles, triumphs and their faith.
The same holds true for the beautiful women in the lineage of Jesus. He heard their stories as a child and made them part of his own. This is why we and some great volunteers are offering Generations of Sisterhood – A Jesse Tree Event this Advent on Saturday, December13th, in the fellowship hall. All girls ages 5 through 105 are invited to hear the first-hand stories with appearances by
Sarah, Ruth, Deborah and Esther. Take in a beautiful lunch with make and takes for the younger girls. Invite your daughters, Goddaughters, granddaughters, neighbors, best friends to share in the experience. Register no later than Dec. 7th at the Welcome Desk. A free will offering with a $5.00 per person donation is suggested.
Hope you will join us!
