The power of our voices

Why We Sing Together

There is something truly remarkable that happens when a room full of people lifts their voices together in song. It’s more than just a musical tradition—it is a deeply spiritual practice that unites our hearts, roots

us in Scripture, and creates an atmosphere where God’s presence is celebrated.

When we sing together as a congregation, we aren't just passive listeners; we are active participants in worship. Congregational singing reminds us that no matter our backgrounds, our week’s struggles, or our musical abilities, we are one body in Christ. Every voice—whether loud, soft, pitch-perfect, or simply enthusiastic—adds a necessary thread to the tapestry of our shared worship.

All God’s Creatures Have A Place In The CHOIR!

Speaking of singing together, we are excited to invite you to join the church choir this season!

If you love to sing and want to build wonderful friendships, our choir is the perfect place for you. You don’t need to be a professional vocalist or know how to read complex sheet music—just bring a heart willing to praise and a desire to serve.

  • Rehearsals: Mondays from 6:30-7:30 pm beginning September 14th and we usually sing in worship approximately once a month and at special services throughout the year.

Whether you’ve sung in choirs for years or have only ever practiced in the shower, there is a seat saved for you!

A Call to Share Your Gifts: Special Music & Song Leading

We also know that God has blessed our church family with a wide array of creative talents. We would love to see those gifts shared in our worship services!

We are currently looking for volunteers to share their talents through:

  • Special Music Offerings: Do you play an instrument—violin, guitar, piano, brass, or woodwinds? Do you enjoy singing solos, duets, or small ensembles? Offering a musical selection during the service is a beautiful way to bless the congregation and glorify God.

  • Hymn & Song Leading: If you have a knack for encouraging others and enjoy helping guide the congregation through our hymns and worship songs, we’d love to have you step up as a song leader.

Ready to Get Involved?

Your voice and your talents matter to our community. If you are interested in joining the choir, offering special music, or helping lead congregational songs, please reach out to Joy Paffenroth, Music Coordinator at joypaffenroth824@gmail.com or chat with her after worship sometime.

Let’s keep filling our sanctuary with joyful noise together!

"I will sing to the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have being." — Psalm 104:33
