Youth workers unite

Youth workers unite as partners in God's mission, called to equip young people to live as bold disciples of Jesus in church and community. In the ELCA, this unity is strengthened through shared training, mutual support, and justice-centered ministry that trusts the Holy Spirit to ignite passion and courage in leaders and youth alike.

Youth workers "unite" by sharing Christ's love together, forming teams that nurture young people's faith through service, leadership, and community rooted in the Gospel. As we listen for God's call and rely on the Holy Spirit's power, we encourage one another to run the race of ministry with perseverance, joy and mutual support (1 Corinthians 9:24-26).

"Youth workers unite" points to God's call for all who walk with young people - pastors, lay leaders, volunteers, and peers - to serve together as one body in Christ for the sake of nurturing bold, joyful faith. Youth ministry resources, gatherings, and training are meant to ignite leaders with the Spirit's passion, equip them for shared service, and connect them across the church so that young people experience Christ's inclusive love and justice-centered discipleship.

The school year has begun, and we had our first Youth Workers Unite lunch on September 1.  We will be gathering with other youth workers on the first Tuesday of every month for good food and conversation. We will be alternating between lunches and dinners in the hope to reach all. Whether you are a paid youth worker, a volunteer youth worker, or a rostered minister who is responsible for youth ministry, YOU ARE WELCOME to join us.

Need a midweek refuel? Drop everything and join us! Where good food meets friends who understand your chaos. No agenda, no pressure---just food, laughter and a table of people who get it.

No need to bring anything. Food will be provided.
