Communications and Worship Media Coordinator

Part-Time

Position Summary

The Communications & Worship Media Coordinator is a part-time (18–20 hours per week) role responsible for overseeing and executing the church’s communications, digital presence, and worship media. This position blends creative design, content development, and technical support to enhance worship experiences and keep the congregation informed and engaged.

This is a hybrid position with flexibility to work both remotely and on-site, with occasional Sunday responsibilities and participation during special services and holidays.

Key Responsibilities​

Communications & Content Development

· Develop, write, edit, and distribute a weekly church newsletter.

· Create and manage content for social media platforms, maintaining an active presence with frequent (near-daily) posts and interactions.

· Design and produce print and digital materials including announcements, event promotions, and ministry communications.

· Collaborate with church staff and ministry leaders to gather and communicate relevant information.

· Ensure consistency in messaging, tone, and branding across all communication channels.

Graphic Design & Visual Identity

· Design high-quality graphics for worship services, events, and digital platforms using tools such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

· Develop and maintain the church’s visual identity and branding standards.

· Create sermon series graphics, promotional materials, and other visual assets.

Worship Media & A/V Support

· Prepare and produce worship slides (PowerPoint) for services.

· Provide support to the A/V team, including training and equipping volunteers.

· Assist with media elements for special services and seasonal events.

· Collaborate with the Worship and Tech teams to ensure smooth execution of services.

Website Management

· Oversee and execute a redesign of the church website (Wix platform).

· Maintain and regularly update website content to ensure accuracy and engagement.

· Improve user experience and visual appeal of the church’s online presence.

Team Collaboration

· Work collaboratively with church staff, ministry leaders, and volunteers.

· Support and coordinate with the Tech Team to enhance worship and communication effectiveness.

· Communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders to ensure alignment and timely execution of projects.

Qualifications​

Required Skills & Experience

· Proficiency in graphic design tools (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop).

· Basic knowledge of social media strategy, engagement, and analytics.

· Strong written and verbal communication skills.

· Experience with Wix or similar website platforms.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint.

· Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.

Preferred Skills

· Degree in Marketing, Graphic Arts, or a related field preferred.

· Experience with audio/visual systems and worship media production.

· Familiarity with church calendars, seasons, and service planning.

· Experience supporting or working with volunteer teams.
