Kit-Wits

We have a group of knitters and crocheters at CtK affectionately known as the Knit-Wits. Yes, a long history behind that name! We will have a presence in church this coming Sunday May 31 as Pastor Dennis will formally pray over the Prayer Shawls we have available for people to take for someone in need of prayer, blessing or healing. 

However, the Prayer Shawls are only one of the projects this group has undertaken in the past few years. We have prayer squares currently available on the welcome desk and like the shawls anyone may take one. They both are a source of comfort and connection from a prayerful community. 

Another Project we took on was last summer and fall. Our team of knitters and crocheters made about 300 dishcloths for Ruby’s Pantry. WOW! Others heard about it and participated too. We have knitted prayer squares for the Fox Valley Pride Event and have also made hearts with positive mental health sentiments attached for an event for Prevent Suicide Fox Cities. Love and generosity overflows with this group.

They are special spirit-filled people. Their positive response to so many of my asks warms my heart. Whether it’s donating to fill a raffle basket for a non-profit fundraiser or participating in serving and bringing treats for Sunday Fellowship, to welcoming a new creative yarn project. The Knit-Wits continue to say yes.
