In the blink of an eye, everything can change. So, forgive often and love with all your heart. You may never have that chance again. This past weekend I lost a cousin much too young. He was only 17. In addition to that, I have another cousin who is 21 who will be passing soon due to an allergic reaction last Thursday, in which she was without oxygen for too long causing brain damage. Both of them were unexpected. Life changed in a blink of an eye these two families will never be the same.
here is a quote by Maya Angelou that connects with me and my situation, "When I think of death, and of late the idea has come with alarming frequency, I seem at peace with the idea that a day will dawn when I will no longer be among those living in this valley of strange humors. I can accept the idea of my own demise, but I am unable to
accept the death of anyone else. I find it impossible to let a friend or relative go into that country of no return. Disbelief becomes my close companion, and anger follows in its wake. I answer the heroic question 'Death, where is thy sting?' with 'It is here in my heart and mind and memories.'"
Knowing God is with both of them helps ease my the pain and anger which helps me understand that everyone here on Earth has a time limit. We do not know our time limit, we must live fully, live fearlessly, and love those around us.
What happens when we die? When we die, our spirit and body separate. Even though our body dies, our spirit—which is the essence of who we are—lives on. Our spirit goes to the spirit world. The spirit world is a waiting period until we receive the gift of resurrection, when our spirits will reunite with our bodies. Our future resurrected body cannot die and will be perfect—free from pain, sickness, and imperfections. It is because of the infinite love of Jesus Christ that everyone will be resurrected.
