A Balanced Plate, A Balanced Life?

If you used a plate to divide your week what would it look like? Does it align with God’s plan

for you? Fixing that broken bicycle, cleaning up the kitchen, a phone call or message to a

friend or neighbor, picking up children or groceries, that golf game, or late meeting at work,

or caring for a loved one. God meets us there. Although our life may look out of balance to us, if we are walking with God throughout our day we can find peace knowing God is with us. In contemplation we can sometimes see different choices we could make that would balance our plates to better align with God’s will too.

Our verse for this year’s stewardship campaign comes from Matthew 6:33 pointing us to a generous, loving God. Steep your life in God-Reality, God-Initiative, God-provisions. Don’t worry about missing out. You’ll find all your everyday human concerns met. The Message

This verse gives us clear direction, Trust, have Faith, Align yourself with God in all things and your everyday concerns will be met. A very generous God indeed! Could it be that God’s balance may look different from what we may be thinking? Trust and Faith in a generous God opens our hearts and eyes to generosity poured on to our plates. We are blessed by giving, guided by a loving, generous God.
