Safety First

Our First Aide kits have been updated and we have also added two more. Please note as locations are new. One kit is now located above the AED in the narthex, one is in the hallway across from the office on the shelf above the coat rack, one is located in the kitchen on the shelf above the sink, and another in the Sunday school hallway above the fire extinguisher. Please make yourself familiar with the locations.

Clean treat and protect are the three steps for taking care of wounds. If burns occur the first step is cooling, so running under cool water is suggested. Of course serious injuries need a 911 call and when in doubt, it is best to call and allow the professionals to make the decisions.

Our AED is located in the Narthex on the wall next to the music office door. If anyone is interested in learning to use the AED please notify Tina in the church office. This device has saved many lives and is the first line of defense for heart related issues.

We have been provided with wonderful tools to help in times of emergency. Let’s pray we won’t need to use them, but as the Girl Scout Moto says “Be Prepared”.
