(and Why You Should Join the Choir!)
If you were in worship (or online) on August 17th, you heard my personal testimony as to why music is such an important part of worship. It has a way of touching our hearts, lifting our spirits, and helping us feel closer to God.
When we sing together as a congregation, it’s more than just music—it’s
prayer, praise, and community all wrapped into one. That’s where the church choir comes in. The choir helps lead worship, setting the tone for moments of joy, reflection, and celebration. But being part of the choir is about so much more than singing on Sunday mornings—it’s about belonging to a family. Choir members laugh together, pray together, and encourage one another, all while making beautiful music to glorify God.
Here’s the best part: you don’t need any experience to join! Whether you’ve been singing for years or just enjoy humming along to the radio, the choir is open to anyone with a willing heart. We’ll help you learn the notes, before long, you’ll feel right at home.
Rehearsals are Monday nights at 6:30 pm, and they’re one of the highlights of the week. It’s a time to recharge, connect with friends, and do something uplifting for yourself and others. Plus, singing in a group has been shown to reduce stress, improve your mood, and even boost your health—so it’s good for you too!
If you’ve ever thought about getting more involved in worship, consider this your invitation. Come give choir a try—you might just discover a new way to grow in faith, make new friends, and share God’s gift of music with the whole congregation.
We begin on Monday, September 8th at 6:30! Hope to see you there! Joy, Choir Director
